    Hi Roz =)
reading every word of your blog with hope and growing enthusiasm!! Its perfect timing for me, as I was just researching cosmetic procedures….what a bummer!

I am so with you on your ideas so far except for ONE. I have nothing to profit here, only saying this suggestion from my financial planner saved my three daughters and my future. In regards to having a Will or a Trust…its something no one wants to think about, plan for and then give a Lawyer money for! We did it half drunk and joked thru the entire hour….
but 10 years later it was invaluable. Without that will…during the worst time of my life, the big decisions were made for me. Also one more note…we cheaped out and got a will, not the trust fund. I still had to contact another lawyer for $750 for a letter to prove to the investment companies that there were no other wills written after that first one, and that we had not claimed bankruptcy or some bs so I could close his accounts and put them in my name.

Without a will I may have lost out on a lot of money that was for our family to keep going and that would have really aged me!! This time I was advised to spend more and get a living trust so my daughters won’t have to deal with any lawyers…Dear Mom will have the last say …down to my outfit, music and cabernet!!
    Look forward to meeting you,

      Hi Linda

Thank-you for your reminder about being prepared. Living younger longer is a great aspiration however it gets trumped by that unforeseen BUS.

Just before I left Australia to relocate in the USA I did a similar thing and had a will drawn up and I also discussed the delicate topic with my mum.

She agreed that she should have a will; so between my brother, sister, mum and I, we worked out who would be responsible for what and who could make the decisions regarding property and medical.

Living younger longer helps to extend our midlife phase and make the journey just that bit more palatable but it doesn’t change the ending 🙂

      Roz 🙂

Congratulations on your new direction and vocation!

Mr. Spock might be a great spokesperson for your focus – “Live Long and Prosper.”

In support of your vision, the words of Mark Twain also add to the mix of your ideas:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
